The long and winding road

LH won a tender for a job and starts on site next week. Had to go the shops today to buy some equipment and as the site was close by, LH thought he could nip in for a look and begin sorting things out in his head. This is the remains of the old road, visible on the first edition OS map and predating Great Western Road. Incredible how these things survive for hundreds of years as field boundaries and so forth. Who knows how old this road actually is? All we can say is it predates the first edition OS.

RH had the laziest day in the history of mankind and got up at least 12 hours later than her normal during the week. In fairness, after LH came home, he wasn't much more active.

Out for a nice meal at night with some friends to our favourite Greek restaurant.
