Siamese Crocodile

The Critically Endangered siamese crocodile has had its habitat reduced and numbers severely depleted by hunting. This afternoon I stumbled across colleagues who had just returned from visiting our captive breeding programme which is reintroducing this species at key sites across Cambodia. This morning had been exciting, with the hatching of a nest. Of the 14 eggs, 10 were successful. This little guy was being prepared for storage meanwhile. ..
