Rings

Down and back to Edinburgh today, and quite surprised by how warm it was. Mostly in the office and on the train, but also in the sun. Anyway, a quick wander before the train back to Inverness gave me a glimpse of the Olympic rings ahead of the torch arriving tomorrow. I forgot they were here, having seen them on other blips at the weekend.

Quite happy with how this turned out - three portrait shots stitched together, which shows of the perspective of the rings at an angle.

The torch doesn't arrive in Edinburgh until tomorrow, but when I passed the Balmoral, there was a fleet of five official cars at the front of the hotel. Whatever you think of the torch relay, it's a mammoth effort to get 8,000 people round the country on time, with the concerts that are happening each night too.
