Ruth Hunt

A slight change of scenery after the peace of last week in Wales.

Visited the Sparkle festival in Manchester's Village and Sackville Gardens.  I went to a ukelele workshop which was fun (and will probably result in a purchase...) before going round a few stalls, then listening to a variety of performers.  Ruth Hunt, Chief Executive of Stonewall, said a few words on the main stage.  Stonewall had deliberately not been involved with the trans community in the past, but since the previous CE left they have been through a consultation and are now fully inclusive.  Hunt had some great things to say - although I am not personally a fan of these 'get over it' graphics.
