A day trip to London. For me it was with work and for Abi, travelling with her mum, it was for a quick check up at GOSH (if the six hour round trip can be called quick).

But even though our journeys down were three hours apart, we came back up together, managing to get seats around a table on the 17:30 train, due to the kindness of a chap who offered to swap seats with me. 

So, around the time that Abi and her mum were getting on the train at Oxenholme, this morning, I was walking through Euston, taking the western exit to walk through the back streets to Euston Square tube station. 

This bike rack is just outside the exit. I was rather surprised to see how empty it was: they're usually full at other stations I go to. Maybe not many people commuting out of Euston live within cycling distance of the station?
