The grapefruit season is over

After eight months the fruit have become pithy.  Perhaps the recent hot dry weather has contributed but the next crop is looking good and will be ready to eat in December.  

This is an inside out picture taken as I stood inside the canopy of the tree and looked for some remaining good fruit for breakfast this morning.
