Fallen

This is part of a memorial for a local woman who died in a car accident a few years ago. One has to walk into the woods a bit and around to the back side of what looks like a random granite boulder to see this face carved in the stone. It may seem sad or gloomy, but it's actually a rather peaceful place. I'm always reminded to count my blessings when I'm there.

To give you an idea of scale, this sculpture is about 3 feet (1 meter) long.
