Boat, Barge, and Beached Sturgeon

Yikes, what a shock to find this fine, old specimen dead on the beach. Spotted it as we headed back to our launch site from an outing at the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers. We were told it was an old fish perhaps as old as we are and that it may have died because of the warm water or from a toxic plant that is growing in the way-too-warm water. Can this be real? Do you suppose we're going to keep seeing, with our disbelieving eyes, actual proof of climate change?
