This poor rose was on a branch I cut back yesterday. The climbing rose had done a lot of climbing when we were on holiday. I always try to leave the branches with flowers and buds - it seems a bit cruel to cut them off just as they are about to bloom. I accidentally snipped this one off though. It retaliated by scratching me - it is the thorniest rose ever!
