View from the Clisham
More rain in the night but stopped soon enough to allow the tent to dry fairly well before taking it down and travel south. The rest of the day was sun and showers.
First stop of the day was to climb the highest mountain in the Western Isles, The Clisham, 799m. It's a short, but steep climb and there were good views looking south and west but, unfortunately, the top was in cloud (and then we had a shower) so limited in other directions. However, just before we went into the cloud there were views east along Loch Sealg (I think).
Then to Tarbet for some shopping and ferry watching before heading for the next campsite at Lickisto. The tent just fitted on an old lazybed (narrow raised strips that were fertilised with seaweed and planted on) and there was a blackhouse to retreat to if the weather or midges got bad, though neither were that evening.
