The reason for the trip to Nice was that I was a surprise guest at a landmark birthday party. We managed to keep it hidden from everyone for 6 months! There were some near slips but we somehow kept it secret. The surprise was a huge success, lots of tears and amazement. A fabulous party.

During the day we mooched around Old Nice and hoped we wouldn't bump into anyone attending that night's celebration. In talking at the party that evening it seemed everyone had been at the flower market at some point during the day but we'd miraculously gone undetected.
