My summer flat

WARNING: WORK-RELATED RAMBLING: FEEL FREE TO SKIP TO THE SECOND PARAGRAPH.

I had my first day on the "field" doing house calls today. The visits went surprisingly well and the people seemed to realize that I am unbiased and free-of-charge advisor and not an official or a salesman. Then again, I only had two actual house calls as two of the originally scheduled six had cancelled and two others said they didn't need any advise on waste water management (we send a letter to the house owners beforehand and suggest a time and date for a visit and they can call and re-schedule) when I went to their door. All in all, it seems like a pretty typical day from what I've seen and heard from other advisors. I had lunch in my car which was parked on the side of a quiet country road, which is probably something I have to get used to - not that it was that bad. Both places that agreed to the visit actually offered me coffee, but I had to refuse the second one as I had just had some in the previous house and I had to make it to the next house (if only I knew they'd refuse the visit!).

Anyways, it's been a wet day and I'm tired so here's my one bedroom rowhouse flat in Ilomantsi where I'm staying the weekdays (and nights) in. The shot is taken in the small entry. There's a small bathroom (toilet, sink and shower) to the left from where the shot was taken in and a small kitchenette with a sink and cupboards is hidden in the far right behind the fridge and next to the oven. Definitely sufficient for my needs and well worth the (very low) rent.
