Nightjar

Really interesting birds some consider to be supernatural, there are stories that they steal goats milk which gives them their latin name Caprimulgus europaeus. This female is sat on two chicks, their population is being monitored and they are a red listed species due to declining numbers. 
It looks like she is asleep, but she is peeping through squinted eyes.
