Hanging around

This morning was spent cleaning and tidying as our lodgers were all at work/school, so before our friends arrived we had a blitz around!

Then it was showers and change, ready for our friends arriving, and off the the races we went. We are lucky as we can walk from our house to the course in less than half an hour.

They are all concessions, but I still have to pay,full price to get in.......which is double @ £13!!! Anyhow, we all had a sandwich and drink,before setting about choosing our runners and riders.:-)

We set off with such optimism and ended up pretty deflated, each of us managed a win, some two......but overall, everyone was out of pocket :-( nonetheless we enjoyed the day!

Walked back home, had a quick,cuppa, wash and chance, then out for a meal, which was very nice, got back home a little while ago, having had a thoroughly enjoyable day :-)

All,I could manage today is an emergency blip of one of our hanging baskets in the back garden........it's quite pretty though ;-)

Off up the wooden hill now, night night :-)
