Replaced!

A few weeks ago I went to post some letters near our house, but found the postbox was gone!
A notice duly appeared affixed to the post, informing us that our box would be replaced shortly.
Here is the smart replacement, although no plate to give details of collection times. But what about the now obsolete concrete post ?? Will this eyesore just stay there for ever?
