International Flavour Day

International Flavour Day started when N (aged 10) informs me that his Greek teacher declares today 'Greek Day'. All year 5 pupils needed a toga.
"Don't worry" says N, "Mrs P said we can take a normal bed sheet, cut off the fitted corners and then cut a hole for the head in the middle". Um . No.
So all year 5 parents had a Greek drama of their own this morning. Sadly I don't have a photo because there was too much drama.

International Flavour Day continued with a delightful curry lunch, the favoured flavoured meal of a lovely colleague who's leaving. And she chose pavlova for pudding (New Zealand flavoured...).

International Flavour Day continued with mock pizza for the kids tea.

And on it continued as I collected Elbows later clutching a Greek kebab.

And on it continued as a 'friend' drops around with Indian sweet snacks left over from his Grandmothers funeral - he explained that on the 13th day after her death, they had to host a large crowd in her honour - large = 600 !!! And the food left over shouldn't be wasted and for some reason, they thought of us.

There you go. International Flavour Day.
