This is summer

Well, I heard it raining in the night but I was surprised to see the Allanwater river in flood this morning.

It's a sign of our changing climate that it's no longer unusual to see flood water like this in the height of what passes as summer in this part of the world.

When the river rises it always attracts sightseers for the weir in Bridge of Allan is quite a spectacular sight.
