Willard
The Dodge family has been farming this land for generations, at least 4 that I know of. Willard's dad, Oliver, was the original purchaser. He was old when we moved here 25 years ago. They had dairy cows back then and I would often take the children to watch the milking at 4 p.m. We would get fresh milk out of the tank (warm) and the cream would rise to the top after a few hours in the refrigerator. Willard spent his career as a Private Investigator and his younger brother Jim took over the farm for many years. He got rid of the cows about 7 or 8 years ago and his nephew is now handling things with his own son. It is mostly a farm/ice cream stand and some landscaping materials, but they do still hay a few fields. It looked like all hands were on deck to help with this chore (in the extras too) before the rain that is expected tonight.
