Corstorphine Old Parish

This is Corstorphine Old Parish Church. It was built in the late 14th Century by Sir Adam Forrester who was Lord Provost of Edinburgh and Sir John Forrester who was Lord Chamberlain of Scotland in the reign of James I.
It was built next to the original, early 12th Century St. Mary's Parish Church which was demolished in 1646 to make way for the north transpect of the current building.
It has a roof of extremely heavy stone slabs, which are currently under repair.

This is where my parents were married, my brother and I were christened, I was married and both my kids where christened.
