Spike Drop Off

Three things of note happened today:

First, daughter Jay arrived back home safe and sound after her 5-weeks of volunteering for charity EHN Nepal in Kathmandu. So lovely to have her back - http//:JadineInNepal.blogspot.com

Second, the only two long flower stems growing off one of our cactii suddenly decided to drop off in the conservatory before fulling flowering. What did we do wrong?

Third, our previously featured free-range baby hedgehog (who I have now called Spike) had to be emergency rushed to Lower Moss Wood Animal Hospital straight after picking up Jay. Spike was found on the back lawn in broad daylight looking very lethargic and ill-looking. Thanks BTW to ThompsonTwin for good advice.
