Back to the birds and bees
Totally lacking in energy today, with nil desire to play golf, but HH needed exercise, so we wandered along to the club after lunch. It was at least beautifully sunny there, whereas at home we lose the afternoon sun behind the hill in winter.
It took us a while to rout someone out to open the caddy house and find our clubs, but we eventually got going, with HH playing well and hoping to get a card in. However, by the 6th, his game had fallen apart and I was really dragging my feet, so we stopped. I had a filthy headache by the time we got home and am heading to bed at 8 pm – unheard of.
This little Saí azul (Danis cayana) was a delight to watch this morning. He was accompanied by a little green bird that I haven't identified yet, and there was also an emerald hummingbird buzzing around. Nice to be able to catch them on the cherry blossom, right there in the garden jungle.
