Bembridge
A slightly more sedate day was needed today after yesterday's adventures.
We spent the day in and around Bembridge on the East coast of the IOW.
We had a lovely lunch in town then visited the Bembridge windmill, climbing the rickety stairs up 3 steep flights to the top and the sails. C's highlight was milling the flour using 2 big stones and a wheel to crush the grains. He came out covered in flour dust after a good 20 mins grinding and proceeded to eat a blackcurrant ice lolly which he dripped all down himself - ending up in a delightfully sticky, floury mess!
Onwards to the Bembridge lifeboat and seafront where we had a tour and then a drink by the beach.
Italian restaurant and a nice pizza for dinner.
