Wild flower mix

Hub and I have been out for most of today. We decided to go for a drive, followed by a quick garden centre visit, got 4 new plants to fill the last gap in our back border ;-) a dark leafed cerise dahlia, a hydrangea peniculata Limelight, a soft apricot geum and a dark leafed pale pink/lilac geranium. Might leave them in their pots for now as the are about to flower. Hoping to spend sometime in the garden tomorrow !

We then drove on and stopped off by the canal at our favourite little cafe and had a lovely Ploughmans for lunch, with a pot of tea, in mismatched China cups and saucers:-) Afterwards we walked lunch off along the canal bank for a couple of miles or so. It was sunny, but the breeze was quite cool when the sun went behind the clouds.

Once we were back in the car we stopped off en route home, by a lane to a farm, that sells mixed wild flower seeds, in an honesty box beside the road. Hub pulled up so I could get a pack, but more importantly to take a few shots of their lane, which is strewn on either side, with poppies, cornflowers and lots of other colourful wild flowers. It's a little late to see them at their best really, but I did like this shot.

Emily has been out for tea with some school friends, so I made a quick tomatoe and chilli prawn and pancetta linguine for dinner for us this evening.....followed by freshly picked loganberries, strawberries, red and black currants, with strawberry and chocolate ice cream......very naughty but very nice!!!!

Just sat down to watch some TV only to,discover there is absolutely nothing on worth watching!!!

Guess it's blip browsing for me then :-)
