Off to work

It was 0800hrs in Venice and this Gondolier was off to work. The Gondolas were waiting to be put into action.

In about an hours time they would all be jamming the small canals and causing havoc to the water taxis and Vaporettas that ferry the many many tourists that invade central Venice after 0930

I go in about 0800 spend 3 or so hours with Venice to myself and then head for the beach in Lido
