Fishy
It struck me as rather odd that, on a holiday where so much of the focus has been on food, I hadn't blipped a meal yet.
So, to remedy that, here's today's main course at lunch for Mme Tepeka and myself. We'd chosen the set menu in a restaurant in the old part of Hoi An and, to be honest, hadn't bothered to read too closely what we were getting. We'd already been served three other substantial courses, so when the waiter brought this out we thought he was heading to another table. But no, it ended up in front of us.
If actually proved rather tasty, if a little difficult to manage entirely with chopsticks.
The rest of the day was devoted to fittings for the clothes we ordered yesterday; ordering more clothes because we were so happy with the ones we ordered yesterday; buying spare bag #2; and more eating.
Dinner was at an 'Asian fusion' restaurant called Mango Mango beside the river in Hoi An. It's a funky kind of place, more akin to something you'd expect to find in London than here, and the food was absolutely fantastic. And we got to enjoy all this while watching the paper lanterns float down the river. A lovely evening.
