Old and New
In Z's right hand, her phone with a YouTube video on how to make dreamcatchers; in her left hand, a craft glue brand that has been around for years.
She'd followed the directions in the video to make three dreamcatchers for herself and others before visiting us, and Z's expertise was evident as she began a fourth this morning. I, on the other hand, was all thumbs.
After lunch with Phil and B at the Old Town Cafe, Z and I went to CreativiTea for an afternoon of hands-on art, reuniting with the menfolk for supper at home. None of us had moved much today, so we went to Zuanich Park about 8 p.m. to enjoy the evening light (see extra photo and Phil's blip) and pleasant weather. Ice cream for dessert afterward and discussing tomorrow's plans brought the day to a pleasant close.
Z and I will be working on our dreamcatchers again tomorrow morning, and she'll resume tutoring me on how to use my iPhone more fully and text properly. With Phil and B, we'll also go to the Wednesday afternoon farmers' market in Fairhaven, take a walk, and in the evening, see a performance of the Bellingham Circus Guild's Vaudevillingham.
Grandchildren are good at getting us out of our usual routines!
