Eye appointment for Zander kickstarted the day; in town for 1030. Which was fine; and the nto the Modern Art to meet dwalletta and view Escher and Lichtenstein. And coffee, cake, mazes, chat, etc. An enjoyable few hours catching up; and free in too.

We bored her sufficiently to be abandoned and we made our way home to cook - I really wanted chilli lime sweet potato soup so made some along with a chargrilled aubergine / courgette / tomato bulghar wheat thing. I'm hoping it'll go with some of the 6 tuna steaks I scored for £7 in Morrisons. Along with a pistachio / wholegrain mustard crust, I'm thinking.

And another pointless call to the parents. It's becoming a regular occurrence. "Seeing as it's going to rain on Friday, Ill not bother going to visit a garden I've been to before and I suppose you could come over for lunch with the kids who we've not seen in 3 months and won't get another chance to see for another month if we don't do it on Friday"
