Open Garden

Been with the village gardeners club today to visit one of the gardens that is open as part of the NGS. The chap opened the garden today especially for us with donations going to Cancer Research as he lost his wife to cancer many years ago.
I was thrilled to actually see a newt swimming in the garden pond, but obviously too quick for me to get a picture.
We travelled down to the garden at Gosforth in  an old service  bus that had been hired from the local heritage museum.
