Eton Rifles

This morning on my way to work, Eton Rifles by The Jam shuffled up. How is it that this protest song, released in 1979, is even more relevant today? Where have we messed up?

The lads in the red uniforms represent the Eton cadet corps. Prime Minister Cameron was in the cadet corps. Effectively you're looking at the government front bench in school.

Reflecting on the past only gets us so far. Please spare a few minutes to listen to this 20 year old's maiden speech in the House of Commons today and please think about how we can effectively oppose the UK Government.
