Thoughts

I do love poppies. I saw this one on the way back from the doctors and had to cross the road and take a photo. I couldn't manoeuvre myself into a position where I could avoid taking the barbed wire in the shot as well but actually when I saw it, I quite liked the fact that it was there. The poppy and the barbed wire together made me think of the First World War and that's something I don't mind thinking about. I like to pay my respects - in my head - to those men who fought and fell for us.
