Tiny Tuesday - Mussel shell

This tiny mussel shell is 4 mm long - it kept sticking to my finger when I tried to place it back in the sand. The macro filters have given it a sort of underwater look, which I suppose is appropriate.

In this you can see that the golden 'sand' from our local beach is actually golden coarsely ground rock.
