Door Knocker

B and I had a wander around Olney in the rain today (not realising that a lot of the shops were closed on Mondays!)!  Undeterred, we enjoyed a leisurely lunch...followed shortly afterwards by a leisurely cup of tea and a slice of cake!  On our slow amble around the shops that were open we passed the Cowper and Newton Museum (dedicated to the Poet and Hymn writer William Cowper and his Collaborator and friend John Newton), upon the door of which is this unusual door knocker, I haven't been able (yet) to find out any information about it's design which I think has an Egyptian look about it...but I thought it would make a striking blip).
