Autumn

Not Autumn yet - but only a bit over two months away! It was, however, a dreary rainy morning and I was grubbing around weeding and wondering what to do about a MonoMonday blip with the theme of "Autumn" when I saw this dead leaf lying on the moss on our sort of faux brick (paving *stones* with a brick pattern) patio. There will be a lot more fallen leaves soon! This particular leaf has fallen from our very old White Oak tree which is in the autumn, if not the winter, of its life. It's probably 300+ years old and looking rather like it won't make it to 400. Our hope is that it doesn't fall on our house - which it is right smack dab next to. Fingers crossed.
