The Blue Heron

The blue heron is most seen in Holland and Belgium. 

In my childhood they used to be found in forests and lakesides, but nowadays they can be spotted more and more in canals and other shallow fish filled waters in and near the city.

They can even be seen in backyard ponds lately as the love goldfish too.


This one is less than 100 yards from my home.
