Mono-Monday: Autumn and Friday Night Lights

It is summer now, but Autumn is just around the corner, evoking feelings of excitement. The days will grow shorter and will be sunny and cool.  The leaves will turn brilliant shades of yellow and red before they fall, and a new school year will begin.  In the U.S., autumn marks the beginning of the ‘football” (gridiron) season, a hugely popular sport at the local high school level, along with its associated pep rallies, marching bands, mascots and homecoming celebrations.  Some of you outside the U.S. may be familiar with all of this from the very popular TV series, “Friday Night Lights.”

This is a very old football I found in the basement.  It is slightly deflated.  (I suspect the New England Patriots could make good use of it ) ;-)  This is my entry for the Mono-Monday Challenge: Autumn, hosted by irunlykagirl.

"Clear Eyes. Full Hearts. Can't Lose.”  Coach Taylor, Friday Night Lights.
