Lunch

Went to Weavers house with Friend for lunch today. They knew friend slightly but had never really spent time with her or gone beyond pleasantries, and they knew from me what was going on and wanted to reach out and support her. He and his wife are just such good hosts and so interesting, talented, caring and fun! Food damn fine too! We spoke of the beauty of Maths and how it is found in and makes nature, how nudity can rid your house of children who have outgrown the nest but don't realise it, the state of the NHS and insensitivity of consultants and others who should be caring, the joys of attending Medieval and other themed events and the virtual time travel it allows! There was so much more too! A lovely way to spend an otherwise mizzle of a day! 
Friend left at 4 as tired so wife drove her home and Weaver and I looked at the photos I had taken of him. We were supposed to have another  photo session but the conditions were too poor so instead we chose from those I had taken before.
Finally left at 6 and let the girls out for a roam - they made it as far as the kitchen! Portly missed having a walk today! I'll make it up to her tomorrow!It seems the mizzle will be around for the rest of the week - a good thing as friend coming over from France and she needs a bed to sleep in so time to sort the school stuff or at least move to one room! Am so looking forward to seeing her - much drunken antics to come!
