Obliplisks.

These stones mark, I think, the one time entrance to the beautiful lido swimming pool which was famous for its beauty and bitter coldness.

They now mark the way in to a bit of lawn and benches which have a nice view of the harbour mouth and castle.

They also frame Bass Rock quite nicely, about 12 miles distant.

(They are also decidedly not a , kittenblip too tempting when one so photogenic sits next to you all evening!)
