Mono Monday #76 Autumn

You'll be relieved to see that I have finally moved away from the Wimbledon theme for today's mono Monday challenge of Autumn (although I did briefly consider taking a photo of a wet Wimbledon umbrella!).

G and I went for lunch and a bimble around Olney, and I remembered I'd promised to include a blip of a weather vane mentioned in a previous blip.  As Autumn to me means grey skies and windy weather, with this weather vane I can achieve both objectives.

The poet and hymn writer William Cowper lived in Olney and this weather vane in the Market Place commemorates him.  The pen obviously reflects his writing, and the hares refers to his love of hares, he actually kept some as pets.
