I hate sewing. My mother told me I was like a cow handling a musket so it's no surprise really. Even so I did once manage to make a checked shirtwaister dress once and all the checks matched. And I could knit, embroider and crochet so I can't have been that bad.

This morning I found myself with time on my hands and decided it really was time I mended the hems on 3 pairs of trousers and sew on 2 buttons.
