Stream running under our cars...

Big storms with flash floods were forecast for this evening, the weekly concert in the park was postponed to tomorrow evening.  Well, the rain came so fierce and hard, we got 3-4" in a very short time.  The ground was already sodden from many previous storms so very quickly we had streams running from the back wood down the sides of our house between both neighbors, our back yard had puddles, then large puddles, then ponds in it.  The stream on the left ran under our cars in the driveway, and the runnoff from that side neighbor's front yard ran across our driveway causing a huge area at the end of the drive to be flooded.   Once the rain stopped, most of it, amazingly, drained off into the ditch, and the ponds in the back yard got smaller.  We were snug and dry inside our home!
