Returning
We walked from our frinds house into the old part of Denbigh. What a lovely old town.
A short diversion first into a playground, which one of us really enjoyed - but in truth we all did.
Then a cup of coffee, and the lady in the tea shop lent us the key to access the town walls. Which are absolutely fantastic. If they were in England they would be a top tourist attraction.
And so to the castle, which was excellent. We did the quiz, which resulted in A winning a badge.
The blip is us all walking back across the fields to our friends house. The Clywydian range is in the distance. Our friends are native welsh speakers and natter away to themselves in Welsh. One of the things I enjoy about this area is that we can travel 55 miles door to door from home and it feels like we are in a different country. Which actually - we are !
I have added an extra, a weather vane on the former Howells private girls school in Denbigh. Our friend was telling us the recent story of the school. It is now closed. It is a long story, too long for blip, but suffice to say if you own a school and decide to sack the head for wearing a hawaiin shirt, you need to bear in mind that even in 2015 this might not hold up as a good reason in an Employment Tribunal.
