Lavender fields ...

... a hint of Provence amidst the South Downs ... magical fragance and colours ... despite the light rain, it was humming with bumble, honey  and solitary bees, and of course visitors!

The lavender will be harvested tomorrow and the farmer is expecting to get about 40 litres of oil from the crop.
