Summer in Dorset

After arriving at our destination of Corfe Castle and enjoying some late evening sunshine, today was a somewhat different day weatherwise.

It was overcast and by lunchtime the rain had arrived!! British summertime at its best!!

Somewhat disappointed (well I was anyway) we headed out to the deserted village of Tyneham and then off for a walk towards Worbarrow Bay.

As we got down to the shore itself, I was amazed at the colours of not only the sea but the cliffs as well. The boys by this time were "chasing the waves" and managed to get themselves a good soaking.....wet but very happy!

A thought did occur to me that whilst it would have been nice to have had a glorious sunny day....would we have enjoyed the "wild coast" as much?

Not sure we would have!!
