Woman in search of blip seeks rainy street scene

Quite apt really as we have used the weather as a marvellous excuse to not leave the house all day on this, our last day of the holidays. We always try to have one very low key day during the holidays and this was certainly it. And much needed by everyone.

Low key in a not going out sort of way buta very busy morning with lots of baking (gingerbread and lemon cake a la aunty SooB), cooking, homework, clothes sorting and general sorting our lives out type things. Should possibly have blipped the activity chart from the blackboard which saw that everyone got everything they needed done for tomorrow with little intervention required. Odd as it sounds, nothing gets my kids in action like the opportunity to cross something off a list! A wants to be first to have completed hers and J wants to maximise the amount of time he has left to lie on the sofa playing FIFA12.

So another active morning was followed by a lying around afternoon. We will siesta on despite the weather!
