Warmest day of the year so far. 

A day trip out of the city today. 

Headed east to Nami Island - really interesting place with lots to see and do.

Persuaded by my dear friends to start our trip off with a zip wire ride (surprised myself that I did it and it was so much fun!).  

A short boat transfer over to Nami Island proper for a relaxing wander under the shade of the tree lined pathways  - past these scary birds - and lunch in an air-conditioned box. 

Post lunch and persuasion Round 2 where I was convinced to throw caution to the wind and ride a slightly wobbly tandem bike round the island (also surprisingly fun).

Cooled off in another air-conditioned box with iced drinks before wearily heading back to Seoul, passing through some torrential rain and lightening on the train journey home. 

Don't think this will be my last trip here - the island has a hotel and it would be fun to stay over and explore once the crowds had gone home for the day. Worth further investigation!
