The Anticipated Beat

There's always a period of anticipation before a musical appearance. That's not to insinuate that it's bad, or a negative thing. It can be, and often is, a wonderful moment. A very cool high of sorts. I normally experience a creatively energetic vibe. One that breeds confidence and gratefulness.

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." (Genesis 1:26a ESV)


Created in the image of our CREATOR. Wow! Lifting my gifts to Him could never be an act of insecurity. Nervousness would only expose a weakened mindset. It would reveal that my mind or focus was on me instead of Him.


With a humble heart I'm filled with thankfulness that I get to do what I do ...and get paid for it.
