PCI network card (Ethernet)

I have an old pc which didn't have a ethernet connection so that I could attach to my router. Decided to buy one , so that I could update it and will use it as a media player. It's runs Windows Xp pro , but as not been used since 2010. So needs some updates!!!
It's one of the old beige colour pc's , keyboard shown.
