Ramada
After yesterday's day at home and relative laziness, today turned out to be pretty manic and productive! First off was my holiday hair trim; then we popped into Christofle in Dubai Mall. G was given a beautiful frame but it has er fallen apart!!! The glue isn't made for Dubai weather; but the very smart lady in the shop impressed us by taking the faulty piece and exchanging it with a new one!
Popped in to see friend Diane on the way home. She had a tube of 99.9% aloe vera gel for us; an impromptu gift which was very thoughtful and well received! :)
I'd organised for Pauline and another friend to have Iftar - the last this Ramadan. Chose one at this hotel - the Ramada which has been around since the 1980s and houses this 30 metre high stained glass feature! One of the largest of its kind. None of us had set foot in this hotel in AGES and it was nice to go back in and see this. It had to be blipped. So many other interesting things seen/photographed today but this is it...
And, believe it or not, as shops have crazy timings due to Ramadan, we went back to Dubai Mall at 10pm to collect two Swatch watches G had identified earlier in the day and we did it in less than 45 minutes! :D
Think I need to switch off and be ready for the start of a new week at work... :)
