Musee Dom Robert

A visit to the excellent Musee Dom Robert in Soreze, which just opened in April.  Dom Robert was a monk at the abbey of En Calcat in Dourgne, a few miles down the road.  An excellent artist, he is best known for designing tapestries.  The museum houses a collection of these plus cartoons (the full-size drawings from which the tapestries are woven), sketchbooks, and watercolours.  Photography is not allowed, but there are some photos here  and here further information on Dom Robert here.
