Ice Cream With A View

After taking Sophie home to her Daddy this morning (Kate was still on her way back from London), we went straight on to an auction at Honiton, where some more of Tess's Mum & Dad's effects were being auctioned.

We had an interesting lunch in a little pub down a side alley: lamb and rhubarb tagine with orange couscous; I'm not normally a fan of fruit with meat apart from in dishes like this and this was delicious and not at all sweet.

On the way back we stopped at AplinsFarm for one of their home made ice creams. To keep up the unusual flavour combinations, Tess had banana and peanut butter while I had ginger and butternut squash and both are highly recommended. No wonder it's a very popular stop with travellers on the A30.

This was the view from the bench where we sat to enjoy them, with one of the providers of the milk that went into them under the tree.
